Municipal Sunday Market - Dimitrovgrad is home to the largest open market
not only in Bulgaria, but on the whole Balkan Peninsula. Its approximate
area is 75 decares. It has become an iconic place for the city where they come to
people from all over the country are shopping. Its emergence dates back to the Liberation of
Bulgaria, around the station of the former village of Kayadzhik, later the village of Rakovski.
